Dubium

I’m still full of doubt. What if I’m wrong? And what if I’m right? No-one can tell me what to do. I have the key, but I don’t know how to use it… He opened the cage but I’m afraid to fly. I might fly too far and too high, get lost in the clouds, carried away by a storm. I have to find the eye of the storm and remain the watcher. Sit still and let the turmoil pass, let it sweep through me.

Ubi dubium ibi libertas

Maybe I should just rest for a while, and sit on his shoulder, nibbling at his earlobe.
Or bite him in the neck.

Or just leave it altogether.
Because deep down I know that it won’t last.
Nothing lasts. That’s not pessimism, that’s just a fact.

Human’s moral compass doesn’t work yet in worlds where the instinct navigates life
